The 4th and 5th Graders were visited by Fr. Chris today, who presented the pen pal project he has planned with our twinning parish in Texiquat, Honduras.
Each student was given the name of a 4th or 5th Grader at St. Francis of Assisi school in Texiquat to write a letter to. Fr. Chris will deliver the letters this summer when he goes on a mission trip with 10 members of Holy Spirit parish. The students in Honduras will respond to their letters from our students, and Fr. Chris will bring their responses back to our students.

Teacher Appreciation Week
Thanks to the Mattingly family for decorating the classroom with a Mexican theme. It's beautiful and educational. There are lots of colorful decorations, flags, pictures, Spanish words and their translations, as well as Mexican cultural and historical information. It feels like we are south of the border!
Tomorrow, the students shirts can wear their team colors. Our color is black. The students should still wear uniform pants or shorts with their black shirts.
Thursday is "Dress Like an Olympian" day.
