Happy Valentine's Day

Thanks to Mrs. Lowry and Mrs. Mattingly for setting up our Valentine treats.  Everyone enjoyed the brownies, drinks, and treat bags.
Thanks, also, to everyone who sent in Valentine cards and treats to share with the class.  What a haul!

Progress reports

Progress reports are available online.  If your child is in one of Mrs. Patterson's classes, a paper copy of her report was sent home today.

Project Linus

Our service project for Project Linus was a huge success today.  The students watched a video about how the Project Linus program donates these fleece blankets to hospitals all over the country.  The blankets are given to children, newborns, and adults who are going through treatment in a hospital due to illness or injury.  We had so much blanket fleece, that we did not finish all the blankets.  We will continue with the project next week.  Thanks for the donations!

Room 4 pen and pencil supply

We are completely out of pens and pencils in Room 4!  In August, we had over 400 pencils and 200 pens.  They seemed to have sprouted legs and walked away.  I am not asking for any to be donated.  Instead,  starting this week, each student needs to be responsible to bring their own pencil and pen supply.

4th and 5th Grade service project

The no-sew blanket project is still on for Friday this week.  We have a member of the parish, Mary Williams, coming to show a video and talk about Project Linus before we begin making our blankets.
We have enough fabric donated to make 8 or 9 blankets.  We are still accepting donations of
1 1/2 yeards of blanket fleece.
Thanks to all who have sent fabric.
