Guests from Honduras

We were pleased to welcome Fr. Douglas and Sr. Dorly from our twinning parish in Texiquat, Honduras to our all-school Mass today.  Many parts of the Mass and most of the songs were in Spanish.  It was really interesting!  Fr. Douglas answered the students' questions about his country through an interpreter.
Our guests toured the school and ate lunch during the 4th and 5th Grade lunch period.

As an Advent service project, our students have been askd to earn money at home to donate for purchasing school uniforms for the students at St. Francis school.  We are also collecting gently used shoes for the school children.

$2.00 Jeans Day/Pen Pal Letters

The students are encouraged to contribute $2.00 for a dress out day this Friday.  The proceeds will go for a gift for Fr. Douglas and Sr. Dorley, who are visiting this week,  to take back to St. Francis parish in Honduras.
The students who received a non-uniform pass at Mass last weekend for this Friday, may use their pass on Thursday.
The 4th and 5th Graders wrote a letter last spring to a student at our twinning parish.  The reply letters were given to the students last week, and our students have been writing return letters.  Some have even written in Spanish!  Ask your child the name of their pen pal.

Symphony Study Trip Info.

There has been a change in our lunch plans for the symphony trip tomorrow.  Instead of eating lunch downtown, we will be eating at school.  Students may bring their lunch or order hot lunch as usual.

All students need to wear their school uniform for our trip on Thursday.

Bad Computers!

I apologize for the lack of communication this week.  There have been some very unusual things going on with our computers this week.  I tried to catch up on all my email today.  If you expected to hear back from me and didn't, please, let me know.
